In addition to Three And Out, Antony's most recent film credit is CHURCHILL: THE HOLLYWOOD YEARS, with Christian Slater. Recent television work includes PRIMO and appearances in the series MURPHY'S LAW, the mini-series THE JURY, as well as a co-starring role in HOME.

In 1999 Antony appeared in the Oscar-winning SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE portraying the character of Dr Moth. A year earlier Antony won the Peter Sellers Award for Comedy from the Evening Standard British Film Awards for his portrayal of Benjamin Disraeli in MRS BROWN.

Throughout the 1990s Antony appeared in numerous television series and movies, including LOOK AT THE STATE WE'RE IN with John Cleese and ONE FOOT IN THE GRAVE.

His first starring film role was in SHADEY alongside Billie Whitelaw. Antony's film debut was in SUPERMAN II.

Antony is an award-winning theatre actor, receiving a Knighthood in 2000 for his services to the theatre. He was awarded the 1997 Laurence Olivier Theatre Award for Best Actor in a Play of 1996 for his performance in STANLEY at the Royal National Theatre. For his portrayal of Richard III in 1984 he received both the London Critics Circle Theatre Award for Best Actor and London Evening Standard Theatre Award for Best Actor. A multi-talented artist, Antony is the author of several novels and wrote the script for the television drama CHANGING STEP.

Antony was raised in South Africa, moving to London in 1969 to study acting at the Webber-Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art.
